Introducing The Authentic Movement

The Authentic Movement was founded in January 2020, with the purpose of awakening believers to live an authentic, sold-out life in Christ. In the summer of 2019, Pastors James & Chris Seiler resigned their position as lead pastors of the 10-year-old church they founded in Galt, CA (www.rlcgalt.com) to relocate their family to Knoxville, TN, the heart of the Bible-belt. The spiritual climate of the southeast is highlighted with a large number of churchgoers, but a very small minority of people who have a deep, abiding relationship with Christ. We feel compelled to awaken the believers in this community and stir hearts around the nation. The Authentic Movement will house online and in-person gatherings, and sometime next year open a local coffeehouse, to connect to the community and introduce people to a life changing relationship with Christ. We can’t wait to see what God will do through this movement.
The Minister’s Friend, a key component of The Authentic Movement, was created to provide support to ministers in the greater Knoxville area and across our great nation. With over 20 years of ministry experience in various roles, James & Chris are well-aware of the challenges that ministers face in their callings, their families and in their personal life. Also, James had the opportunity to serve as the District Church Planting Director for the Assemblies of God, in Northern California/Nevada, giving him valuable insight into launching new ministries, churches and church revitalization projects. It’s been our privilege to launch several churches, send countless men/women out into ministry and coach many other folks into kingdom fruitfulness. Our team is ready to serve you by offering mentorship, providing counsel, connecting you with valuable resources, and so much more… so that you can experience ministry life with a “friend in your corner.” The Minister’s Friend is completely donation-based, as no minister should ever feel they cannot afford to receive the support they need, as our heart is simply to come alongside you and help you fulfill the call of God in your life.
